“People buy into the leader before they buy into the vision.” -John C. Maxwell
We all have artists we love listening to. However, these particular singers demonstrate amazing versatility in their vocal techniques. Most of these artists even sing for multiple bands! This blog is a tribute to a few of the influencers that have helped me grow musically as a singer and songwriter.

Favorite Lyrics: “You were created to do great things, but words only come to life when you believe.”
Oh man, where do I start. Ok yes, I actually am a little bias towards this incredible artist with the same name as me. Matty has been singing for the metal-core band Memphis May Fire since 2008. Besides the traveling band, Matty also works as a solo artist within the pop culture Christian music market.
VERISTILITY: Matty singing for Memphis May Fire
Relevancy: I have been consistently listening to Memphis May Fire since their EP Between the Lines came out in 2010. Their second debut album The Hollow had easily the most played songs on my iPod at the time. As the band continued making new records, they just got better and better. Another artist that promotes his faith openly to the public, Matty lives to see the next generation healed and whole. Matty and I have had various interactions throughout the years through warp tour and TEI workshops. I can honestly say, Matty is an amazing role model to young people everywhere.
Giving Back: Besides setting up one on one meet & greets with the band’s most dedicated fans, Matty Mullins has also partnered with various organizations that help do charitable work for youth at risk. The Mullins brand promotes life longevity and positivity, letting know kids are loved and have a purpose.

Favorite Lyrics: “My momma don’t like you, and she likes everyone”
The pop sensation continues to tour and fulfill his purpose aside from the constant bombardment of the press and media that surround him. JB displays what any person his age (maybe even better) would do if they had such influence.
VERISTILITY: Justin singing in Spanish
Relevancy: I personally enjoy seeing Justin incorporate his Faith into his music. Unlike any other popular artist, Bieber knows his worth and knows his purpose. The first time “Baby” came out, I couldn’t stop watching it. It was at this point I realized he would change the music industry forever. Given his most recent released album Purpose last year and his new singles, Justin appears to have a bright future ahead of him.
Giving Back: Justin has been an activist for various charitable organizations including PETA, Comic Relief, Red Cross, and surprise visits to his loyal fans. Justin has branded himself to “help change the world”. I am excited to see what this pop star has up his sleeve in the near future.
Follow Justin! (if you don’t already)
Favorite Lyrics: “You think you’re something’ more you’re so Supafly, to the fact you’re blind and so empty inside. It’s hard for me to get this through to you. To the fact you’re blind, baby, blind, baby.”
The only original member of the rock band Thousand Foot Krutch, Trevor has another musical project called FM Static. Needless to say, this Canadian singer has mad musical experience.
VERISTILITY: Trevor singing for FM Static
Relevancy: I’ve been listening to Trevor’s music since I was introduced to rock music as a kid. He was the only artist that I heard implementing rap into a rock genre, but it sounded so good! Aside from his crazy pipes, Trevor also has amazing songwriting skills which he incorporates into all his music.
Giving Back: TFK does various events to connect with their fans. Including giving free stuff, engagement on his social media pages and occasionally serving the drive-through line at Chick-file with his band mates.
